Namita Kumar, PA-C, joined Fayette Area Dermatology in 2020 and is licensed by the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners and maintains certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. As a certified Physician Assistant under Dr. James T Sandwich supervision, she examines and treats all general dermatology conditions that include acne, rashes, warts and skin cancer screenings. She performs surgical procedures such as skin biopsies, and the removal of moles and cysts. Namita was born and raised in India where she attended college and medical school. During her training, she spent time in both Dermatology and Ophthalmology, ultimately completed a residency in India in Ophthalmology and practiced as an eye surgeon for many years. Namita and her family moved to the United States in 2001. Soon after arriving in Atlanta, she completed a rigorous training program at Emory University where she received her Master of Medical Science in Emory’s renowned Physician Assistant Program. Namita is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, and the specialty association known as Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants. Namita and her family enjoy living in the North Atlanta suburbs. We are thrilled that she officially became a United States citizen in 2011! When she is not working, Namita enjoys walking, cooking, photography and travel.
